Easy File Transfer part 2

A while back I posted about an Easy File Transfer of content between ipads using the Chirp app.  Which, for those who haven't tested it yet, is a great way to get those files out to students quickly without the need for putting the file in some shared folder or email.  The only stipulation is that each person must have the Chirp app open on their device.  In a nutshell, you find the content you want to share open Chirp, choose the content and Chirp it out to the other people in the room.  Their device hears the Chirp and then seeks out the information.  Within seconds everyone in the room can have access to the content you desire without opening emails, etc.  If someone doesn't hear the Chirp, then a neighbor can reChirp the information to them.
Why am I rehashing all of this for you?  Well, now there is a Chirp app and extension for Google Chrome.  If you go to the Chrome Web Store and search for Chirp you will see an app and extension called Piu-Piu.
I chose to install both.  When you navigate to website, all you need to do is click on the Piu-Piu icon next to your address bar and it will give you options for Chirping the webpage out to your students.  All you need to do is make sure they have the Chirp app installed and running.  With your speakers turned up on your computer they will quickly get the content you need.  Gone are the days of having to write out the web address for students on the board and then having to go type it yourself because they didn't put a period in the right spot or they mispeled (yes I did that on purpose) something.  One more reason why if you are not using Google Chrome already, you might want to switch soon.

Thanks to @ipadsammy for the info on this app in the Techlandia podcast.
